The reality, however, as seen along Pennsylvania Avenue &#8212; the Monopoly Pennsylvania Avenue that is, not Washington, D.C. &#8212; is a massive windowless box containing cavernous casino, restaurant, and entertainment spaces. Everything is internalized. Only the high rise hotel rooms offer views of the ocean and the New Jersey \u00a0pine barrens to the west.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/journal\/2017\/humanresources_lg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6997\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/humanresources-700x466.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/humanresources.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/humanresources-624x415.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a>Trump Taj Mahal, Atlantic City &#8212; \u00a9 Brian Rose<\/p>\n<p>As I walked along the wall of the Taj casino I came across the abandoned Human Resources Offices of Trump Entertainment Resorts. No jobs available here any more. Lots of smiling faces of fictional employees and a dead pigeon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/journal\/2017\/maga_lg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6998\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/maga-700x467.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/maga.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.brianrose.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/maga-624x416.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a>Trump Taj Mahal, Atlantic City &#8212; \u00a9 Brian Rose<\/p>\n<p>And then, to my astonishment, a group of women came walking along Pennsylvania Avenue carrying \u00a0&#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; signs.
