stillspotting ( k ) nyc Sound artist Justin Bennett and poet Mathea Harvey created Telettrofono, a 90 minute audio walking tour weaving history and fantasy along the waterfront of Staten Island. The story is based on the lives of inventer Antonio Meucci and his wife Esterre who emigrated from Italy to Staten Island. Meucci invented the precurser to the telephone, preceding Alexander Graham Bell.

This is my walk--with my wife Renee Schoolbeek--a sequential series of photographs made while taking part in Telettrofono. Stillspotting nyc is organized by David van der Leer of the Guggenheim Museum.
